It’s NOT too late to receive your H1N1 flu vaccine. Carver County Public Health is holding a special H1N1 Flu Clinic on Monday, March 15th and Monday, March 29th from 10:00 am to 5:30pm. This FREE vaccine clinic will be held at the Carver County Public Health office in Chaska and is open to the general public from ages 6 months to adult. Appointments are required. H1N1 influenza vaccine is currently available to everyone six months of age and older. In recent weeks, fewer cases of H1N1 influenza have been reported, but health experts are warning there may be another wave of flu later this winter or in the spring. It is not too late to get vaccinated against H1N1 influenza.
If you have insurance and would like to receive the H1N1 influenza vaccine, please contact your primary healthcare provider or a commercial pharmacy. The Minnesota Department of Health’s H1N1 Flu Shot Clinic Finder is also a good resource. Pharmacies and clinics may charge a fee or bill your insurance for administering the vaccine. If you are uninsured or unable to receive the vaccine from your provider or pharmacy, please contact Carver County Public Health at 952-361-1329 to make an appointment to receive the H1N1 vaccine. H1N1 influenza vaccine is provided by Carver County Public Health free of charge during our regularly scheduled Immunization Clinics.
